I am finally doing the guest bedroom “after” reveal. It’s probably not 100% done, but I am done with it π On to the photos!
BEFORE
From the MLS listing (kind of a weird angle, right? was the photographer very short? we will never know…):
And on closing day (old person curtains came down immediately after this photo):
And NOW
Lots of fake plants up in here since we all know I have a knack for killing plants.
And now for some sources (the short answer is, almost everything is from IKEA or Target):
Paint: Valspar Woodlawn Colonial Gray and Behr Solar Fusion on the back of the bookcase
Furniture: All Hemnes from IKEA, with the exception of the ceramic garden stool which is from Overstock
Lighting: Bedside lamps and clear glass teardrop lamp base are from Target, fabric lampshade is DIY’d
Window Treatments: Curtain panels and hardware are from Target
Bedding: All of the bedding is from Target except the throw blanket (Overstock) and patterned pillows (Etsy)
Wall Decor: Sunburst mirror is from Home Depot, Wall frames are from Target, and letter art is from IKEA
Other accessories: Faux orchid and pot, paper organizers, lantern, desk frames and art are all from IKEA. Everything else I didn’t mention is from TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, HomeGoods, or Hobby Lobby.
Other odds and ends: Door hardware is from Home Depot
That’s it! Now we just need some guests! Who’s coming over? π
WOW, what a transformation… The room is gorgeous!! (found your site by way of the Centsational blog)
Thanks Heather!
I LOVE the color scheme! Light gray-blue, rich purple, golden yellow. Love. I may have to use it for my guest bedroom. Found you through favoritepaintcolorsblog.com.

first room in a LONG TIME that I’ve been 1million% in love with! The deep, rich purple is the perfect warmth in the room! Nicely done!
