Master Bedroom Windows Before and After

Here’s another little before and after, but hopefully these will start to add up! The blinds before were pretty much nonfunctional and dirty. They were cellular/honeycomb shades, which to me doesn’t make a whole lot of sense for a bedroom where some might want to block out light. Plus you can’t clean them. And they were dirty.

We replaced them with 2.5 inch premium faux wood blinds from Home Depot (the Home Decorators brand). Installing blinds is sometimes a bit tricky, but not too difficult once you get the hang of it. So far I’m really enjoying the extra light in the daytime and the extra darkness at night. I’d like to add 2 arm chairs and a small table to this area in the future. I’d also like to add curtains, but I’m a little lost on how I would hang them around the windows.
